Strikkly Hip Hop Event

I had the pleasure of attending and sponsoring an event which was to honor specific people in the entertainment business at The 40/40 Club, owned by Rap artist Jay Z, on the Lower East side of Manhattan. This event was powered by media outlet StrickklyHipHop.com, hosted by Jason Born, a contributor to many media outlets, Malika Manning and my manager, Renee RicketsChef Juvon & Renne Rickets, PR, Public Relations to many great talents.

The night started with me driving up and getting great parking in front. However, when I approach the establishment security stopped me saying “Hey, you have to pay an extra fee to come in with food.”

I replied, “this is for gift bags not to eat in the club”.

Renee showed up with her fabulous assistant Nana Yaa A. and resolved this little problem. Then along with Na

na I met with R&B artist Lanelle Tyler as we stuffed the gift bags with my  delicious pastries in my truck. This was the start of meeting great people at a great event. #AnightofGreatness Chef Juvon, Imani, The General Dee, Sha, Lanelle Tyer, Renee, and Jason

I walked into this fine establishment, went up the stairs to a private room which was filled with beautiful people,

including a great friend and supporter of mine, Ronnie Wright, Celebrity Photographer. After eating some delicious wings and chicken fingers given by the club, I had the pleasure of listening to one of the honorees of the night, Lynn Hobson, “The Olivia Pope of Hip Hop“.  Ms. Hobson talked about her journey, where she has come from, from way back in the day to now and exerts from her book that’s out now, “Diary of A Hip-Hop Publicist“. She is now a publicist to many great talents, such as VH1 TV show and owners of Black Ink, Dutchess & Ceaser.

Chef Juvon & Lynn HobsonTwo of the other honorees were not able to make it due to unforeseen circumstances, but another great individual that was in the room was, Darin “Dee” Dean and also known as “The General Dee“, CEO of Ruff Ryder’s and his daughter Imani, who is his representative. She brought us from the past to the present in so little words ending saying, “Look out for 2016”. Sounds like we are in store for something from the Ruff Ryder’s y’all.

The sponsRenee and Her assistant NanaYaaors of this great event was of course myself, Award Winning Celebrity Chef with provided pastries of ChefCaters.com, StrickklyHipHop with T-shirts, and Monster (Jason Neckels) with great tasting drinks.Chef Juvon Pastry and Lynn Book
