During the search for suspected Boston Marathon bombers Tamerlan Tsarnaev and his brother Dzhokhar Tsarnaev many media outlets have disseminated misleading reports to the public. One of the many reports was Tamerlan’s love for hip hop music and a connection that suggested hip hop music played a role in the bombing. Well hip hop artist, T.I. has spoken out about these reports. “Hip Hop narrates the activity and conditions of our culture. It doesn’t create them.” T.I. told TMZ.com. TMZ was the first organization to point out Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s love for this music genre, which spiraled into the association connection. Since that report, other media sources decided to follow suit. Tamerlan was also reported to have had an account on the hip hop site Real-HipHop.com. Accountability for the news released has once again come into question for TMZ.com who also recently reported Lil Wayne being read his last rights while he was admitted to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for repetitive seizures.
