Rick Ross Loses Million-Dollar Reebok Deal

Rick Ross lost his deal with Reebok! Why? “U.O.E.N.O.” and Ross’ decision to pen lyrics suggesting that he supports rape via the drug Molly. Since the song’s release, Ross has received heat from just about everywhere except Maybach Music Group, but his sub-par replies through tweets weren’t enough to convince Reebok of Ross’ sincerity. “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” Now, Ross claims these lyrics were misinterpreted and that he never said “rape,” but many believe this is exactly a reference to a sexual offense.

In a statement, a Reebok representative stated, “While we do not believe that Rick Ross condones sexual assault, we are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse.” Ultra Violet, a women’s rights group lead the petitioning of Reebok to drop Rick Ross. The song by hip hop artist, Rocko has since been remixed and Ross’ controversial lyrics have been removed.
