Driving down Lenox or St. Nick chances are you might hear some Drake, 2 Chainz, Future or any other artist with roots nowhere near New York, but a new blood in the game has a chance to change that. Lil’ SNS, son of legendary DJ SNS, just released his Harlem Horror Mixtape. Lil’ SNS said his goal was to bring New York back and it looks and sounds like he has a good shot at doing just that. With guest appearances by Meek Millz and Harlem’s very own Vado, Harlem Horror stays true to the New York sound without sounding too regional in the process. During the listening session you could see how in love with the project he was and it wasn’t just something for him to do and just put out, he obviously took the time and hard work to put something together that fans of New York hip hop or hip hop in general would feel.
Lil’ Sns over the past year has been making his rounds to radio (Breakfast Club and Sway in the morning) and many other online and offline publications (allhiphop and XXL) getting his name out there and showing New York still Has spitters that can make it to radio. With his legendary NY roots, two solid projects under his belt (Son of the Future and Harlem Horror) and his songs getting radio spins, Lil’ SNS is on the verge of being the next big thing out of New York. With the recent questioning of New York hip hop Lil’ SNS is coming out with the perfect project at the perfect time to show us what the new New York sound is.
AND of Course “This is WHAT’S HOT IN HIP HOP! IF ITS NOT HERE ITS NOT HOT!
