A Home-Coming Like No Other
We all remember his soulful voice and women will never forget his handsome face . His lyrics made it possible for men to express how they felt and oh how the women could relate. I am talking RnB Sensation, Christopher Williams. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York his talent and passion for music cannot be denied.
On February 13, 2014, witness a concert like no other. The Ladies R&B Extravaganza is going down. The concert will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York at 8:00pm. When I found out about this soulful event it was like taking a walk through my teenage years. I had to cover it. At a time when music had so much substance and lyrics were felt through the heart, I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by. I sent Mr.Williams a friend request on Facebook and kept my fingers crossed. He accepted and I was grateful, as an artist I feel we have an obligation to keep the Icons of our time alive. I asked Mr. Williams could I do a write-up about the show and he agreed. Mr.Williams is a great man and very humble. I jumped on it right away.
It would be so unfair if I didn’t mention Al B. Sure because I also sent him a friend request and let me just say, this man is a motivator and both are still very much doing their thing. This isn’t it the line up of talent on this night is amazing. Carl Thomas, El Debarge, Keith Sweat, Jagged Edge, Case and Kc & JoJo are all performing on this night. Valentines Eve gets no better than this. Sultry music, handsome men and the ability to have a nostalgic walk sounds like a perfect night to me. I was all set to attend however, the person who was getting our tickets waited to long. So I asked Mr.Williams could he be a quest on my radio show. In closing, I would like to thank Mr.Williams and Mr.Sure for treating me fair and encouraging me to continue to do what I am doing. My very best friend from high school Carmen Johnson awoke me at 5:00am one morning in a frenzy because Mr.Williams liked her status on my page. It was the cutest thing ever.
