As previous mentioned in an earlier related post, the George Zimmerman “Celebrity” boxing match was on, then off, then on again, backed by another promoter. However, the match has been brought to another halt, and this time we are hoping it is for good.
The Zimmerman fight was most recently being promoted by promoter, FilmOn.com and according to CEO, Alki David, the money secured would be donated to the foundation created by Trayvon Martin’s family. However, for the Martin Family, no amount of money is worth the loss of their precious child Trayvon.
Following conversation with TMZ reporters, the most recent promoter has decided to pull the plug on the event, as the Martin Family Foundation refused to accept any royalties secured on behalf of the fight.
I guess the world of entertainment isn’t that heartless after all.
