One of the main casts of Scandal, Columbus Short, who played Harrison on the show, has been fired, after a real life scandal of his own. Short has made his way into the hot seat this past week, following his wife’s allegations of domestic violence and death threats. Short allegedly put a knife to his wife’s throat and threatened to kill her in which sparked her decision for a restraining order.
In other recent news, Columbus Short was also arrested for another incident of alleged domestic abuse and recently arrested for a bar fight.
Columbus Short, 31, released the following statement to U.S Weekly about his decision: “At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I’ve called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble in television today.” He then goes on to say “I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast, who have become like a second family to me in such a short amount of time. For this, I will forever be grateful.”
What do you think this does to the show? Gladiators will you still tune in? We need answers. Welp for now, I guess it’s safe to say the bullet aimed at Harrison’s head in the season finale, was a clean shot!
