Rumor has it that there is a new docu-series coming to Lifetime using the 1997 Halle Berry film title B.A.P.S. I’m sure we all remember the crazy roles that Halle and co-star Natalie Desselle played. They were just two home-girls who wanted to become dancers, therefore moving to L.A. But this show will have a lot more to offer.
This group of lifelong friends from St. Louis take a lot of pride in being educated, privileged, and full of class. But please be sure that they will bring their own personal drama, discuss each other’s business and still have each other’s back.
The press release reads:
“There is no shortage of conflict, humor and heart that comes along with being a part of this tight-knit clique, which includes, Anisha, Kristen, Gina, Jason, Riccarda and Brandon. Together, this group, whose dynamic can change from best friends to frenemies at the drop of a hat, attends St. Louis’ elite fashion shows, the symphony and charity events… but no occasion is conflict-free. Competing to be the most successful and most beautiful person in their circle is sure to bind and divide them, especially when Anisha’s boyfriend, Kendrick, and his niece, Rai-Rai are the anti-BAPs.”
So, aside from the occasional head roll and sistah attitude I’d say nah to it being ratchet.
IF IT’S NOT HERE… IT’S NOT HOT! THIS IS WHAT’S HOT IN HIP HOP!
