Bringing Back the Bronx

This past Friday, What’s Hot in Hip Hop was in the building for an evening out at Sunkofa in the Bronx. The event was all about the arts and featured me, KFHox, as the featured visual and musical artist for the launch of this new series of events. Also, performing and exhibiting some of her artwork was Be the Poet, a spoken word artist who also performed at last week’s Cutting for a Cure in Harlem.

Sunkofa is launching this new series of events in hopes to bring back the arts to the Bronx. Located directly off the 174th stop, Sunkofa is easily accessible, brining many people right off the train and into the juice bar and gift shop.

Shawn of Me O’Clock came to show some support and also performed a spoken word piece to close out the night, which featured an array of arts, healthy juices, and also great home cooked food.

The next event will take place on Saturday, August 2nd. And since I’ll be hosting the next one, you can bet that What’s Hot in Hip Hop will be in the building bringing you what’s hot in the Bronx!

If it’s not here, it’s not hot. This is what’s hot in hip hop!
