The Transformation of A Transgender

Call Me Caitlyn "Vanity Fair" Interview

Call Me Caitlyn “Vanity Fair” Interview

It wasn’t too long ago speculation began about Bruce Jenner and his life long journey of living his life as a transgender. Bruce Jenner was most known for winning the Decathalon in 1975 and 1976 for the United States. An avid and highly respect athlete Jenner set world records on all levels. This generation might know Jenner from his role on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”. The show became an instant hit with Kim Kardashian-West  heading as the star of the reality show.
Well as of recent, Bruce has made headlines world wide when he revealed to the world he no longer wanted to live his life as a man anymore. In an April 24, 2015 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, Jenner shared that she is a trans woman and has dealt with gender dysphoria since her youth. She said that for all intents and purposes, “I’m a woman.” Jenner cross dressed for many years[ and began a physical transition in the 1980s with hormone replacement therapy, but quit after meeting Kris Kardashian in the early 1990s.
Well the world awaited and today, Jenner revealed her new name, Caitlyn, and her use of female pronouns officially. Her transition is also the subject of an eight-part documentary series that will premiere in July 2015. While she has undergone some cosmetic surgery as part of transitioning, she has not ruled out gender reassignment surgery, and feels life as a woman is primarily a matter of mental state and lifestyle. She said she has never been attracted to men and had exclusively been attracted to women before her transition, but currently identifies as asexual.
There is often a misunderstanding about transgenders and their sexual preference due to lack of knowledge or lack of information. Her family has supported her decision and supported and gave encouragement through out this transition. Surprisingly, step-daughter Kim announced today her and husband Kanye West are expecting there second child.
I asked for some intellectual feedback on my social networks and 90% of the people agreed that if this is what makes Jenner happy along his journey who are we to judge. For 60 years, Jenner lived a life of unhappiness within is it fair or even right to judge or even slander someone for wanting to be happy? Well Caitlyn it is the world may not be ready for this change but what I do know is Jenner doing what made her happy perhaps saved a life or even helped someone in a similar situation understand they aren’t alone.
I would like your feed back on this story. Until paper and pen meets again God Bless.
