The Oscars has been all the talk in the past few weeks based on their white out or should I say, “black out”, non diversity award show. The Oscars did not award the many great talents to people of color. Is this something new? No it’s gone on for years. Lets not continue to give light to an award show that refuses to respect or acknowledge people of color talents, unless it benefits them. Let’s leave the Oscars in the past where they belong, until they decide to pay homage to people of color. The Oscars is old news.
Now on to the new, news. The 22nd Annual Sag Awards took place January 30, 2016 at Shrine Auditorium in California. The Sag Awards honored a rainbow of talent. Every race and sexuality was given an opportunity to shine their talents and fashion.
Myself being in the fashion and entertainment industry there where many head turners on the red carpet. Those who caught my eye were Lavern Cox and Anna Farris, but I am going to give my best 3 dressed award in fashion to, Viola Davis from the TV show, How to Get Away with Murder, Vicky Jeudy actor in the Netflix hit series Orange is The New Black and Alicia Vikander from The Danish Girl.
Viola Davis wore a glamorous off the shoulder lavender gown, showing lots of cleavage by Zac Posen with pops of silver accessories.
Vicky Jeudy white tuxedo pantsuit with black panels is designed by, Emanuel Ungaro. Her hand made diamond necklace is designed by, R&R Jewelers. Her simplicity definitely got the attention of many.
Alicia Vikander sleek fitting, sequence in mixed metal color block dress is designed by, Louis Vuitton paired with black peep toe stiletto and diamond chandelier earrings.
An award goes to The Sag Awards for, being color blind.

Remember If It’s Not Here It’s Not Hot!!!!
I will not be watching the Oscars Award Show this year. Thumbs up to the Sags Awards
Hi Audrey
The Oscars is boring. I never set my clock to watch them. Hopefully the Oscars takes some notes from the SAG Awards on how to capture all audiences.
Thanks for your comment.
