Miss Mulatto

rapgameMiss Mulatto the new teen (16 yrs old) Rap Artist who was awarded a recording contract on Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def Recordings, was recently in NYC for press runs. While here, I did not get to meet her in person due to her busy schedule,  but I did have a pleasant conversation with her over the phone. Here’s how the conversation went.ms I proceeded by introducing myself of course, congratulated her on being crowned season 1 winner of The Rap Game on Lifetime TV, a little bit of small talk, then I proceed with Q and A.

Me being into fashion, I had to find out first what’s her personal style.  Her style is girly with a tomboy edge. Which I pick up on from the TV show. I love when a person knows their personal style and knows how to bring that character forth.  She doesn’t have a favorite designer,  but she did have a list of favorite stores she frequented, H&M, Forever 21 and on line boutiques. She also mentioned she is a thrift store shopper. You can always find something hot and original there, I agree.Mulatto

Rapping is her forte, therefore I had to ask her a few questions about her music. She is inspired by the late great Tupac Shakur and her dad who got her started and helps her in her music career. She conveys female empowerment in her music and would like to send a message for girls to exude confidence in their every day lives.

Being only 16 yrs old Miss Mulatto has many more years in the music industry. Her goal is to be known as an international music artist.  Fashion is another career she would like to pursue .

It was a pleasure talking to Miss Mulatto. She knows what she wants and making moves to make her goals a reality. She’s destine for greatness.  Blessings to her in all her endeavors

We will meet next time she’s back in New York City.  Until then check out her new single, “No More Talking”
