Dipstick Magazine and Power 105.1 Dj Self bring their “A Game” to Hanover Lanes!

Work Hard, Play Hard (Wiz Khalifa Voice)

DSCN0407Dipstick Magazine definitely lived up to this meaning! Bringing their “A game” to Hanover lanes in East Hanover, NJ, they were able to counterbalance the idea of fun, with the virtues of an established work ethic.

The December 15 , 2013,  Bikini Bowling Coat and Toy Drive, was an event, which DSCN0409in my opinion, centralized the theme of “the gift that keeps on giving.” Donating a collection of unwrapped toys, coats, and monetary donations, to the Toys for Tots Foundation, gave back to the community in more than one way. Not only will this event manage to put a smile on the faces of the receiving families during this Holiday season, but it also managed to put smiles on the faces of the givers as well.

Each lane was filled with smiles and laughter as everyone enjoyed each other’s company. Having fun, while supporting a good cause? It doesn’t get much better than that!

Of course, some celebrity guests, athletes, artists, and media came through to show love and to support the cause as well. The event was hosted by Power 105.1 Dj. Self. New York Giants Otis Anderson and Rodeny Hampton were also in the building! In addition to support from UtterIntuition, Gabriela Falquez, and some super hot models, who made their fashionably late appearance.

Yours truly, Shanice Nicole, of Whatshotinhiphop was also in the building, supporting, and covering the event as well.

Dj Self, Geo Don, and Will of Dipstick Magazine, definitely brought their “A game” to the lanes, as they went head to head in a bowling match in which Geo took the lead, with a final score of 129, according to Instagram. I’m convinced they were all in the bowling league in their younger days, because either they are really good, or I am just really bad at this bowling thing haha. (Let’s agree not comment on that one.)

In any event, The Bikini Bowling Coat and Toy Drive was well coordinated, well DSCN0404attended, and definitely met the needs of its primary objective, which was to give back to the community. The friendly and courteous staff of Dipstick Magazine and UtterIntuition, aided in the event success. Having fun while ensuring the event went scheduled to plan, serves right the “work hard, play hard” mentality that backed this event.

I’ve always heard the saying “work hard now, so you can play harder later,” but who says you can’t do both right now?
